Make each system hand-off understandable

A useful integration discussion explains how work and information move, including what happens when an expected step fails.

Trace the workflow across boundaries

Record the event that starts the flow, required inputs, the state-owning system, transformations and final action. For every transition, note the identity, permissions and evidence that allow work to continue.

Consider duplicate events, timeouts, incomplete data and partial completion. Decide who can stop the flow, who receives the exception and how a known state is restored.

For a delayed or incomplete hand-off, identify who receives the exception and what information is necessary to continue. Any implementation role and actual platform capabilities require separate confirmation.

Scope a reviewable next step

A bounded evaluation should define its test cases, baseline, review owner and stop conditions. It should confirm technical assumptions before any client-facing claim is made.
